MONSOON 2019: DELHI NCR LIKELY TO RECEIVE HEAVY RAINFALL

During the second half of July, good rains in the northwest plains of the country. Monsoon rains have reduced in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh for the past two days. However, heavy rains have been recorded in some places in Rajasthan. On Tuesday, there is a possibility of heavy rains in some places. The Meteorological Department said that because of the absence of rains in the city on Monday, the temperature and humidity we expect levels in the national capital. In Delhi, from July 1 to July 29, 199.2 mm of rains have been recorded. It is about 2 percent more than the 195-mm average 30-year average. In June, there was not much rain in Delhi. However, we saw good rains in the second half of July. That is why it is still 29% less.

On Tuesday, we expect the maximum temperature in Delhi to be 35 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature is 28 degree Celsius. With light rain or drizzle, it will cloud the sky.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the flood situation in Bihar. Over 130 people have lost their lives in the past few days. Modi spoke to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Modi on this matter.

134 people have died and over 1,243 villages have been affected because of floods in different districts of the state. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the Army and the Air Force are conducting rescue operations and so far 1.25 lakh people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas in the state.

After torrential rains, 12 districts, including Shivar, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Northern Champaran, Madhubani, Araria and Kishanganj, have been severely affected because of the increasing water level in the rivers.
