ABHISHEK MANU SINGHVI DEMANDS 62 LAKHS IN SABRIMALA CASE

Congress leader and Supreme Court lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi sent a huge bill of Rs 62 lakh to the Travancore Devasam Board. Singhvi has sent this bill instead of the Board’s stand in the Supreme Court with Sabarimala. TDP President Padmakumar says that the government had appointed Singhvi as the board’s counsel after going against his recommendation. The Board says that we have not given Singhvi this case.

THE BOARD OF TRAVANCORE DEVASAM SAYS THAT BECAUSE OF THE SABARIMALA DECISIONS AND THE DEVELOPMENTS THERE, THERE HAS BEEN A HUGE REDUCTION IN THE TEMPLE’S REVENUE. HERE, THE BOARD CANNOT REPAY THIS HUGE BILL.
The Board says that they have got the bill and they have also contacted the government. The chairman of the board says that they will decide the direction of the government only after taking any decision. Sources said that the board had recommended the name of Gopal Subramaniam and Mohan Parasaran for lobbying with the government during that time.

Explain that during the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court, senior counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi had given the side of the Board of Travancore Devasam. After a long-standing trial, the Supreme Court had ruled against the Board. The Supreme Court had given permission for entry of women in Sabarimala temple while giving a historic judgment.
