Unknown vehicle tries to breach ED convoy ferrying Arpita Mukherjee in Kolkata

An unknown vehicle has tried to breach the ED convoy ferrying Partha Chatterjee’s aide, Arpita Mukherjee, the CGO complex from the Bankshall Court in Kolkata.

One of the cars met with an accident after the vehicle tried to enter the convoy in the Salt Lake area.

However, Arpita has been taken to the CGO Complex safely. No police complaint has been registered in the matter as it was a minor accident.

Earlier in the day, West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee’s aide Arpita Mukherjee was remanded to one-day Enforcement Directorate custody. She will be produced in the Prevention of Money Laundering Act court on Monday.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday, July 23, in connection with its probe into the alleged school jobs scam in West Bengal. The arrest of Partha Chatterjee followed after Rs 21 crore in cash was recovered from the Kolkata home of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of the former education minister. Arpita Mukherjee was also arrested by the agency on Saturday.
