Pollard is a brother to me: Man of the Series Krunal Pandya after T20 series win over West Indies

Krunal Pandya was named Man of Series after India completed a 3-0 whitewash over West Indies by clinching a 7-wicket win in the final T20I in Guyana on Tuesday.

India left-arm spinner Krunal Pandya expressed his satisfaction over contributing in India’s 3-0 series win over West Indies.

Krunal Pandya was awarded the Man of the Series for his all-round performance throughout the T20I series. The spinner had taken two crucial wickets to help India clinch the rain-marred 2ndT20I against West Indies.

Following the third match, the 28-year-old at the press conference said, “Quite satisfying and obviously won the series and to contribute in a winning cause is a good feeling. The focus is to improve every day and and I am not thinking much about anything, just trying to focus on getting better.”

He further shed light on his camaraderie with Mumbai Indians teammate Kieron Pollard. Calling the West Indies all-rounder a brother, he said that both the players know each other’s strength.

“He (Pollard) is like a brother to me and playing against him, he knows my strength and I know his strength. I guess whoever uses his brain (when asked who gets the better of who), he added.”

India completed a 3-0 whitewash over West Indies by clinching a 7-wicket win in the final T20I in Guyana on Tuesday. A fiery bowling spell from Deepak Chahar coupled with a 100-plus stand between Kohli and Rishabh Pant helped India dominate the hosts at the Providence Stadium.

Earlier, India had defeated West Indies by four wickets in the opening T20I before beating the Caribbean side by 22 runs owing to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in the second match.
