New Delhi: The total number of Coronavirus cases rose to 151 in India on Wednesday. A woman died in Maharashtra on Tuesday, taking the total number of deaths in India to three. Maharashtra has reported maximum cases of the highly contagious illness in India. The Coronavirus or COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. As the total number of infected people reached 151, the government has stopped incoming travel from a number of nations, including the European Union, Malaysia, Philippines and Afghanistan.

Pakistan confirms country’s first coronavirus death
Pakistani officials announced Wednesday the country’s first confirmed fatality due to the novel coronavirus, after a 50-year-old man died in the north of the country.

Taimur Saleem Jhagra, the health minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, told AFP the man died in a hospital in Mardan district near Peshawar after visiting Saudi Arabia earlier this month.

“It’s the first death from coronavirus in (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and sadly in the country too,” Jhagra said, noting that the patient’s family had been placed in quarantine.

Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Princess Beatrice is scaling back her wedding plans and cancelling a planned reception due to be held in the gardens at Buckingham Palace in May because of coronavirus, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reported.

Beatrice is due to marry her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at London’s St James’s Palace on May 29, and the queen was then to give a private reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace
