Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday tweeted before the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 and asked voters to turn out in record numbers.

“Your one vote will shape India’s development trajectory in the years to come. I also hope first-time voters vote enthusiastically,” he said in a tweet.

Narendra Modi tweeted after spending 15 hours in solitude at an isolated cave at the Kedernath Shirne, where he had gone on Saturday for meditation.

After coming out of the cave, PM Modi said he has been lucky to visit the shrine on multiple occasions, adding that he has a special connection with the Kedarnath.

“I am working towards the development of Kedarnath. I keep updating myself via video conferencing,” he added.

PM Modi also said that he does not ask for anything when he prays.

“I don’t support the tendency of asking anything from God. He has made us to give, not to demand,” he said.\

PM Modi on Saturday offered prayers at the Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath, just a day after campaigning for general elections came to a close.

On Sunday, he is expected to be in Badrinath, another temple in Uttarakhand’s ‘char dham’ religious circuit, following which he will return to Delhi.

Wearing a traditional Garhwali Dhohya, saffron kamarband and Pahadi cap, PM on Saturday had greeted the devotees at the Kedarnath shrine and then carried out a period review of the restoration work at the Kedarnath shrine.

Soon after, PM Modi walked up another 500 feet to an isolated cave for an approximately 15-hour long ‘Ekantvaas’ or solitude to meditate.

This was witnessed as the prime minister’s special ‘dhyan and saadhnafor big strength before the last phase of elections and results on May 23.

Meanwhile, the last phase of polling the Lok Sabha elections 2019 ends at 5 pm today, following which exit polls will be revealed.
