65-year-old man found dead in south Delhi

A 65-year-old man lay unconscious for over three hours on a busy road in south Delhi’s Yusuf Sarai while people watched him from a distance and nobody came to help being scared of coronavirus. The man was later declared brought dead.

Some police officers, dressed in PPE kit, came to rescue the man who was lying in the open for several hours in the severe Delhi heat. He was rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where he was declared dead. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.

Police officials have said the deceased was a former attendant working with the AIIMS Hospital. He fell unconscious at the upscale south Delhi market in Yusuf Sarai.
