Operation Milap: Delhi Police helps specially-abled child reunite with parents

Delhi Police helped specially-abled child, a resident of Kalindi Kunj, reunite with his parents, under ‘Operation Milap’ on Wednesday.

The five-year-old child, identified as Aryan, was returning home on Wednesday evening after playing when he got lost and forgot the way to his house as it got dark.

A Delhi Police official spotted Aryan weeping near Lakkad Market in Kalindi Kunj. The officer tried to know from the boy deaf and mute about his house but could not succeed. He immediately informed the duty officer as well as the SHO about the child. On receiving information, a dedicated team began to trace the parents of the child.

Photographs of the child were shared on different Whatsapp groups and Covid volunteer groups as well. Announcements were made by PA system in nearby areas. Local inquiry was also conducted to trace the parents of said child.

Consequently, the Aryan’s parents were traced within an hour with the help of a Covid volunteer, namely Amit Awasthi. He was safely handed over to his parents under ‘Operation Milap’.

His father works as an auto driver.
