The Odisha government on Sunday issued lockdown relaxation guidelines for Red, Green, and Orange Zones in the state during the extended lockdown period till May 17 owing to the rising cases of coronavirus. According to the new notification, three districts — Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur — and areas under the jurisdiction of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) have been categorized as the Red Zones.
Khurda, Sundergarh, Kendrapada, Koraput, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Balangir, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, and Ganjam have been put under the Orange Zone.
The notification issued by Additional Chief Secretary PK Mohapatra on Sunday stated that districts and municipal corporations have been classified into Red, Orange, and Green zones on the guidelines formulated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, for the week starting May 4.
