Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Maharashtra, Sanjay Raut on Thursday spoke about the recent findings of artifacts near the proposed site of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. “Even Prabhu Shree Ram will want poor migrants to reach home safely. Ayodhya is the city of Shree Ram. You will find such a thing over there. However, the work of building a temple should happen peacefully,” Raut said.
A Shiv Sena MP and Executive Editor of the party’s mouthpiece Dainik Saamana, Sanjay Raut also said, “There should be no showoff or to build such a huge atmosphere over it. There are thousands and lakhs of migrant workers at the UP border. They should be helped first. Shree Ram will also want that these migrant workers reach home safely. Temple will be made, no doubt about it. But if these migrant workers will not be there who will come to Shree Ram temple. They are the real devotees of Shree Ram.”
“First preference at the moment should be given to migrant workers and not temple. There is an order from the Supreme Court itself. We should right now leave aside issues like Hindu-Muslim India-Pakistan and only focus on farmers, migrant workers who are walking home. Real issues are being neglected with all this,” Sanjay Raut said on Thursday.
Responding to questions about possible demonstrations by the Maharashtra BJP over the Maha Vikas Aghadi government’s handling of the novel coronavirus crisis, Sanjay Raut said that the state is going through a very tough time. “Here, Uddhav Thackeray government is working under the guidance of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Dr Harsh Vardhan. Local BJP leaders should understand this. Even JP Nadda would not like this. People of Maharashtra will not like it. BJP is in opposition here and they should stand with us in these tough times.”
