Cyberabad Police gets tough against lockdown violators

As Telangana prepares for a shutdown extension till May 29, the Cyberabad Police have warned the public that lockdown violators will face strict action.

All frontline officers will be on the ground monitoring citizens’ movement round the clock, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said.

The public has been asked not to move on the roads between 7 pm to 7 am.

Morning or evening walks aren’t allowed, and nor are social gatherings like parties.

Workplaces should close by 6 pm so employees can reach home by 7 pm.

The Cyberabad Police says it is seizing vehicles belonging to people moving around without valid reasons, and booking violators.

Over 9 lakh violators have been booked so far. As many as 20,591 vehicles have been seized since the lockdown was imposed, including 16,000 two-wheelers.
