Jaipur International Airport is gearing up to resume operations. Like other airports across India, the JAI is also preparing to greet passengers with domestic flight operations expected to begin soon.
Arrangements have been made at the Jaipur airport to ensure physical distance between passengers. Yellow stripes have been used to demarcate spaces for each passenger right outside the departure area.
Passengers will only be allowed to enter the airport premises after undergoing thermal scanning to be conducted by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel outside the departure area. Security men have been briefed to check the ID cards of passengers without any physical contact.
Windows of counters inside the departure area, where boarding passes are to be checked, have been equipped with double shields to prevent contact. The boarding passes will be checked through scanners.
Automated hand sanitizers have been placed at various spots inside the airport. Five counters have been put up at the arrival lounge for international flights where doctors will be stationed to screen passengers coming out from the aerobridge.
Similar measures and precautions have been adopted at airports across the country to minimise the risk of transmission of infection once domestic flight services resume on May 35. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that the fare of domestic flights will be regulated by the ministry for the first three months. He further added that passengers plying in domestic flights will not have to quarantine themselves for 14 days’ at the time of arrival at their destination.
