Assam reports 73 new Covid-19 cases, state tally reaches 856

Assam registered 73 new positive cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 856.

Out of the new cases, 32 cases have been reported from Kamrup (Metro) district, 11 from Cachar district, 10 from Nagaon distrct, three each from Dhemaji, Barpeta, Dibrugarh districts, two each from Karimganj, Hailakandi, Kokrajhar districts and one each from Hojai, Dima Hasao and Lakhimpur districts.

Assam Health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said 73 new positive cases for Covid-19 were detected in the state on Thursday till 6.20 pm.

He tweeted saying, “25 new cases of #COVID19+. 13 Kamrup Metro, 4 Cachar, 3 Dhemaji, 3 Barpeta, 2 Kokrajhar. Total cases 856, Recovered 87, Active cases 762, Deaths 04.”
