Agra celebrates the festival of unity against coronavirus

Diwali had arrived a few months earlier. Taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to light lamps at the doorsteps at 9 pm on Sunday a little further, the people of Agra even decorated their houses with rows upon rows of lamps on Sunday night.

Fireworks lit up the sky at exactly 9 pm as the city showed a united front in the fight against Covid-19.

Speaking with IndiaToday.in, 104 years old Imamuddin, who stood at his doorstep holing a lit-up mobile phone, said this is a celebration of the unity of the people of India against the threat of coronavirus.
