Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday blamed the ruling YSR Congress party government in the state for “wrecking all sections of the state politically, socially and financially, thus pushing the state economy into an irrecoverable, bankrupt situation”.
“YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s retrogressive policies led to the flight of investments and industries from Andhra Pradesh eventually causing huge loss of job opportunities to workers, youth and other sections,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
Addressing the annual ‘Mahanadu’ conclave of the party digitally, Chandrababu Naidu launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) saying: “In an unprecedented manner, the YCP government targetted to crush TDP cadres and their businesses physically and financially. It was a ‘painful year’ when hundreds of TDP activists were implicated in false cases and put in jail for no fault of theirs.”
Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the YS Jagan Reddy government has not spent a single penny and not completed a single irrigation project in the past one year even as the state’s lifeline project of Polavaram was stalled and now got stuck in legal hurdles in the court.
“The TDP had pursued a pro-industry policy which helped to usher in Kia Motors, Hero Motors, Asian Paints and so on. However, under the YCP’s one year rule, the proposed Adani Data Centre, Reliance Electronics and other industries have gone away. CM Jagan should explain to the people whether he had asked for ‘One Chance’ from the people to destroy the state in every way possible,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
