Tamil Nadu govt allows salons to reopen across state from Sunday

The Tamil Nadu government, in a fresh set of relaxations to reopen the economy, has allowed salons to reopen across the state from Sunday, May 24.

The relaxations for salons in Tamil Nadu have come a few days after the state government allowed the salons to reopen in the rural areas of the state as the fourth phase of Lockdown 4.0 kicked in.

However, the government has not permitted salons to reopen in Chennai and the coronavirus containment zones in the state.

The government has announced that no AC will be allowed in these shops as they reopen from Sunday. The salons will be allowed to start working from 7 am till 7 pm.

Also, all the salons must have people wearing masks. All the salon workers and customers will have to maintain social distancing and ensure the disinfection of their set up a minimum of five times a day.
