India has extended the nationwide lockdown till May 31 with a new set of guidelines issued by the MHA. Coronavirus cases in India saw the biggest single-day jump today and has crossed the 96,000-mark, the government announced that state governments will now decide on the demarcation of Red, Orange and Green Zones for applying restrictions. In Lockdown 4.0, the government has not allowed flight movement but has allowed inter-state travel on passenger vehicles with permission from state governments. The move is expected to benefit the thousands of migrant labourers who are on the move. In the new guidelines, e-commerce firms like Amazon and Flipkart have been allowed to deliver all non-essential items as well. The new set of rules kick in from today as India goes into Lockdown 4.0.
