Three more Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals in Assam on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 32.
On Friday, two Covid-19 patients from Morigaon district were discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Guwahati and another patient was discharged from the Golaghat Civil Hospital.
“After these three patients getting discharged, no Covid-19 positive cases are now active in Morigaon, Golaghat, and Nalbari districts,” Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
Assam has reported 42 positive cases of Covid-19 so far and, out of them, one patient has died while he was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Assam currently has only nine active cases of Covid-19.
One more Covid-19 patient, belonging to Dimapur in Nagaland, was also discharged from Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) earlier on Friday.
The health minister said that the patient from Nagaland was admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital on April 12.
“After testing negative several times, the patient from Nagaland has now been discharged from the hospital,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
On Thursday, five fresh Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Assam’s Bongaigaon and Karmganj districts.
